Ida

In 1983 at the Messel Pit in Germany, an amateur fossil hunter discovered an exquisitely preserved ancient primate fossil that Scientists now believe forms a crucial "missing link" between our own evolutionary branch of life, and the rest of the animal kingdom. They named this fossil Ida.

Constructed by Peter Wilson and his Trailworx team in early 2014, Ida - Jubilee Parks own “missing link” between the North Face area of the park and the other lower trails, sat idle for almost a year before it was hand finished, and opened in early 2015.

Beginning up at the picnic table at the North Face area of the park, Ida, a black diamond trail, descends for an elevation loss of 66m over its 757m length and has two exits. The first exit feeds directly into the Reaper, blue with black features, the second exit feeds into Centrelink, a blue arterial trail. Those riders sending this black run can expect all the classic Jubilee black features; loose berms, gap jumps, steep sections and some logs. Ida is one hell of a ride.

The lower junction; go left for Reaper, go right for Centrelink.
