Highlife

The original Highlife, commencing way up near the North Face, was so fast, and so far away from any trail head that a rider was said to be living the ‘Highlife’ when descending it. Designed by Pete Young and Rod Hickey, and constructed, once again by Pete Wilson and his Trailworx crew, back in 2013, the trail line was home to the thickest lantana in all of Jubilee Park . A major error by the TRC saw witness to the complete destruction of a large section of the trail in 2020, and it was rebuilt in 2021, this time by Brett Cotter, and his Trailworx crew.

Highlife is a one way blue square trail, and it is fast, real fast. Commencing at the picnic table up on the North face, it begins as a mellow climb for perhaps 50m or so, before dropping into a rocky technical flow section. Once it crosses the fire road it’s flat out and hold on, until it reaches a kicky log jump that changes the line slightly, and onto a small high speed jump. Highlife then goes redline once again with a rider choice of go left for a step up jump, some more descending flow, and on into Rollercat, or go right, and link in to Viper.

The trail surface and elevation loss of Highlife is conducive to high speeds, enjoy.
