How to become a Member of Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club

Step 1.

Fill out a Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) form.

You have 2 options when you become a member.

RACERS If you are keen on racing you will want a race licence. For juniors this is $80 and seniors is $100. This entitles you to enter any mountain bike race run in Australia. Note juniors is under 19, so the oldest you can be is 18. The year you turn 19 is the year you become a senior.

RECREATIONAL If you are not keen on racing and would like to partake in club activities, such as group rides and open days with our new land then this is for you. It’s only $62. Now I bet your asking, “what do I get for my $62 dollars?” Well it is pretty much just insurance to cover yourself and us if anything bad goes wrong. More information here.

All of the above prices stated have included the club fee which is $20. This affiliates you with Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club. When you fill out the membership form you will tick the appropriate box, Recreational $42, Junior $60 or Senior $80. Then add $20 for the club fee.

Cheques: All cheques can be made to Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club Inc.

Step 2.

Once you have filled out the membership form send it to us.

Otherwise you can just bring it along when we are track building or to our monthly meetings, which are on the first Tuesday of every month. They are held at Toowoomba City Hall, 541 Ruthven Street (the old brick building with high clock tower opposite Burke & Wills Hotel).and details will be posted on the forum before the meeting.

Once we have received your membership form we will send you a receipt and MTBA will process your licence.

Step 3.

Receive Licence

Expect to wait around a month to receive you licence. Happy riding.
